SUMMER CAMP 2011

Sew In Style is offering 6 weeks of sewing camps.  Choose to sew 1 week or all 6. Various sewing times are offered.  Each camper will sew with brand new, exciting fabrics and never sewn before projects.

 

***Friday Beginner Camp***

If you've never sewn at Sew In Style, this is where you begin your Summer Camps! Campers will learn all the basics needed to jump right in to a 4 day camp. Campers will learn how to use our machines, sew a straight line, over-casting, pressing techniques and basic sewing skills while making simple little projects! ***Students must take EITHER Camp 1 ~ Pillow Pizzazz OR a Friday Beginner Camp before taking any other Summer Sewing Camp.   Cost for a Friday Beginner Camp is $35

 

Camp  1 ~ Pillow Pizzazz

Learn how to make the coolest pillows ever, while learning basic sewing techniques! 5 different pillows and a whole lot of Fun!  Cupcake, Peace Sign appliqué, Chinese Patchwork and others.  Bring out your style in each one you create.
Get inspired and learn basic and intermediate sewing skills.

 

 

Camp 2 ~ Summer Slumber Party

You’ll be all ready for your next sleepover!  Cute little PJ shorts, Soft and Cuddly stuffed animal and a really cool over the shoulder pillow / storage bag to carry it all in!  And you’re going to love the amazing fabric you have to choose from.

 

 

Camp 3 ~ It’s All Fun & Games

*Please Note* - This camp will start on Tuesday.  There’s so much fun to sew! Tic Tac Toe Game, Bean Bag Toss and a wacky little Monster Puppet.  And of course, campers need to make something to carry all that fun in.  We’ll make that, too.
Campers will receive Giant chalk and game rules for 3 different Bean Bag Games.

 

 

Camp 4 ~ Lots of Purse-onality

Add some Purse-onality to your next outfit with 4 different purses from around the world! Campers will make a Taco Packet Wallet (Mexico), Fortune Cookie Shoulder Bag (China), Hawaiian Tote (America), and a cute little Parisian Purse( France)! We have beautiful, new fabric from around the world.  And the Purse designs are incredible.

 

 

Camp 5 ~ Fashion Designer

Choose from a cute skirt, a pair of shorts / pants, or a simple dress and start designing! Put your own creative touch on whatever you decide to make. Learn basic garment construction skills and new sewing techniques that are used in the fashion industry today.

 

 

Camp 6 ~ Back To School Cool

Summer is not nearly over, but we all know summer will end and you’ll go back to school. Wouldn’t it be great to have a few awesome items ready for you to use in your locker or at home?  Campers will have fun making a Sew Trendy Locker Pocket, Lunch Bag a Go-Go and a cool Binder Organizer. Show your friends and they’ll want one too.

Every effort is made for campers to complete all projects.
Although as you know,
everyone works at their own speed and skill level.  So it is possible that not everyone will finish every project.

Summer Camp is a series of one week sessions. There are 6 sessions in all!

Sew In Style summer camp classes are true sewing classes! 
Whether a beginner or more experienced, kids will learn the proper sewing techniques to complete each project and develop many new sewing skills!

Please note that some classes have 3 different times available, mornings, afternoons OR evenings

We require advanced registration for classes, not only to insure your space in the class but also to make sure there is a class!

Cost for each week-long camp is $135.00.
