    Adult Classes

    Adults will learn sewing through hands on experience. Students gain confidence and know-how for all sewing projects. Classes give you the opportunity to obtain new skills in sewing. Beginners are always welcome. Experienced sewers will learn new tips and techniques. It's a fun way to be around creative people and get your creative sparks firing.

    We encourage advanced registration for classes, not only to insure your space in the class but also to make sure there is a class!

    Sewing Made Easy Series

    Here is the class so many of you have asked about! Basic, Basic Sewing. All the tips and techniques needed so you have the confidence to sew on your own with success! Each class is packed with information. You'll learn different techniques that can be used in any facet of sewing!

    Session #1 - Quilting
    Learn basic quilting techniques while making a terrific lap quilt. With a handful of fat quarters, we'll put together a fast and fun 'Yellow Brick Road' quilt. This super simple quilt is rotary cut and strip pieced. It's designed for beginners! Cost is $65
    Thursday, September 4, 11 & 18 - 6:30-8:30pm

    Session #2 - Garment Construction
    Make a pair of elastic waist pajama bottoms that really fit and learn how to measure, cut out a pattern, read and follow a guide sheet. While you're sewing them together, you'll learn the lastest techniques to speed you along to a beautiful finish! Cost is $45

    Thursday, Oct 9 & 16 - 6:30-8:30pm

    Session #3 - Practical Carry-all
    May sound boring - but far from it! This wonderful tote-bag is roomy enough for handeling lots of important jobs. Great for trips to the mall, the library with the kids, clothes for the gym or a weekend in the mountains!
    You'll learn how to add a zipper, pocket and handles - using the simplest methods possible.

    INTRO TO SEWING CLASS
    If you are new to sewing or it’s been a while, we feel it is important that you take Intro to Sewing before taking any classes at Sew In Style. This lesson lasts about 1 ½ hours and goes over all the basics. By the end of class you will be familiar with and be able to identify all the main parts of the sewing machine. Know how to thread the machine and wind a bobbin. Be familiar with seam allowances and have some practice in sewing straight and curved lines and learning how to pivot. Cost is $15 per person. Set up a time that is convenient for you.
    You can even bring a sewing buddy.

    Adult Sew-cials 
    Every Wednesday and Friday morning join us for some quiet sewing time.  You'll enjoy using our wonderful Viking sewing machines to create something beautiful.  These classes are designed so you can fit sewing into your busy schedule!  This is an Adult Only class so you can have some quiet time to really get creative. Bring your sewing supplies and a project to work on. Sew for as long as you like & work on anything you want!  Cost is $12 each hour. Buy 4 or more hours at one time and the cost is $10 per hour.
    Every Wednesday and Friday 10am - 1pm

    Sewing Parties
    Gather your friends and contact us to schedule your own sewing party. It’s a great idea for bridal and baby showers and birthdays. We'll work with you to recommend and select projects and gather supplies. Prices will vary accordingly.

    Create–A-Class
    Is there something you want to make and can’t find the right class? Gather some friends together and call us. We'll put it all together for you and help you find enough people for a class.

    One-On-One Classes
    Sew to learn the basics as well as serve your special needs. Private lessons are a perfect way to gain the greatest under-standing of your sewing machine, sewing in general, pattern reading, and/or project completion. Cost is $20.00 per hour.
